We can help you finally understand math!

Math Nuts Tutors is made up of people who are passionate about students. This is not cliché. We really focus on destiny. It’s kind of a funny word in the math world, but mathematics is foundational to everyone’s career track. Our goal is to help people master math to the degree that their destiny requires. Being a master tutor, Dan has a Master’s degree in Secondary Math Education from the University of Colorado Denver (2018) as well as a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Northern Colorado (2020).

Dan has been tutoring since 2011, when he began teaching as a collegiate math instructor at Red Rocks Community College. He taught in public, charter, and alternative middle and high schools before teaching full-time at Aims Community College—where he is now.

He can solve the Rubik’s Cube in less than two minutes and hopes to find more opportunities to play the guitar when he is not spending time with his wife and four children.

Dan believes all students can learn math and with consistent one-on-one support will become more fluent and confident in the subject. With the right combination of a positive attitude, a balance of fun and rigor, and consistent effort, this is possible!
